I work as PHP programmer from the wonderful city of Granada, in Andalusia, Spain, and I consider myself very lucky for that.
But, does it really matter? Most of my clients don't know me in person, and they're hundreds or thousands miles away from me. It's not a problem, quite the opposite: it's a comfort for both parties.
I've been working remotely for decades, literally. I could advertise myself as PHP programmer in Madrid, also as PHP programmer in Barcelona, but I prefer to brag about living in Granada, and continue working for clients from any other city.
From Granada, I work as PrestaShop programmer, developing modules, doing customizations, also I adapt old PHP applications to new versions of PHP, and I solve problems on websites developed by others, applying reverse engineering. In general, and simply, I try to help .
